Something new starts tomorrow at Birmingham's Shain Park, which has a newly expanded footprint:

A German-style holiday market called Winter Markt (deal with the spelling) runs Friday through Sunday at the 'town square' just south of Maple, west of Old Woodward. There'll be live music, kids activities, actual reindeer, ice sculptures, gifts, holiday greens, horse-drawn carriage rides traditional German food and Gemütlichkeit.

Friday, 3-8 p.m.; Saturday, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.; Sunday, noon-4 p.m.

Becks:

Just discovered your blog - loving it. My wife is an East Side girl ... although I've transplanted her to the West Side.

If you stop by Noel Night be sure to head inside and warm at Old Hall (Wayne State) for Handmade Holiday. Lots of handmade goodies including Detroit themed photography, funky jewelry, and tons more. It goes from 2-9 and the facebook page is here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/event.php?eid=164571203576001

And if you are in the Ann Arbor area on Sunday don't miss Whip Stitch Art and Craft Fair at Corner Brewery in Ypsilanti from 2-10. The facebook page for that event is here: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Whip-Stitch-Art-Craft-Fair/137743969606077?v=info
Thanks!

PJ,
Thanks! I need to start focusing a bit more on the East Side, I have a few places that are on my radar that I've been meaning to check out.

Janna,
Thanks for adding those! I do plan on hitting Noel Night and will need a place to warm up (& shop).
