Detroit Moxie's Weekend Roundup
It’s been quite a week! The NAIAS excitement hits Detroit, Verizon finally lands the iPhone, Brady Hoke is named the new head coach at U of M, and apparently I’m not a Libra anymore.
Get out there and enjoy Detroit! Oh, and I'm jealous of all of you going to the Kid Rock concert at Fordy Field.

Don't forget that the Detroit Film Theater's winter 2011 season starts this weekend! I did a preview Wednesday of films I'd like to see this time around http://www.midwestguest.com/2011/01/where-i-live-detroit-film-theater-winter-season-starts-january-14.html
The Art-o-mat machine should be cool. I saw one of these in the Chicago Cultural Center a couple of summers ago (and got my own little piece of artwork from it). Cute idea to support indie artists and to recycle these cool looking machines!
I am going to celebrate my 40th (in April) with Kid Rock on Friday. The perfect way to celebrate a birthday is Detroit is with our most famous resident. Plus, he puts on one mean show!
Dominique,
I got a great little piece of art from Kill Taupe from the Art-o-matic and I love it! I also won a few prizes at the party last night: 2 more tiny pieces of art and a t-shirt.
Rebecca,
That's an awesome way to celebrate your birthday! Have fun!
