What I would most like to see in downtown Detroit is a large computer and electronics retailer. I would prefer a CDW or MicroCenter. #geek
I'd love to see a national clothing retailer in the city, right along Wood(Web)ward ave.
I'd love to see Meijer in the city. Groceries are a dire need, plus other retail products from a Michigan company.
I would love to see Crate & Barrel downtown - love that store!
I think I would like to see a union restaurant that is non-profit or profit shared among employees. Something innovative in the typical restaurant business model. Colors is coming soon, but downtown would be even better for it.
I would love to see a Target in the city!
Borders. Err.......In all seriousness, a big-box hardware store would be very useful in the area near downtown. And Home Depot, to its credit, already has a presence in the city.
I would love to see a Loft store move Downtown!!! The Loft is one of my favorite stores, and I think it would be a great addition.
I"d like to see either SEE Eyewear, a national clothing retailer or a high-end fabric store.
I would like to see a Meijer open downtown. It would be nice to see a Michigan retailer thrive in the city.
I would like to see a Target downtown - there are so many times during the week that I need to stop for something that is carried at Target and there is not one on my way home.
A Trader Joes downtown would be alright with me.
I'd like to see an Apple Store somewhere in Midtown/Downtown.
I'd love to see a national or major regional chain grocery store: Kroger, Busch's, Plum Market, etc.
I would LOVE to see an arcade or computer gaming center downtown. Oh man!
I would LOVE Trader Joes and Urban Outfitters!
I would love to see a storefront that has beautiful/creative/ever-changing window design. For example Anthropologie is a chain but still has gorgeous & unique displays.

I'd like to see Urban Outfitters downtown!
I, too, would love to see an apple store!
I'd love to see a Macy's downtown for my lunch time shopping fix!
